As Frodo was on the edge of Mount Doom, he found himself incapable of tossing the Ring of Power into the fire. It was then that Gollum, the sad and sorry addicted victim of the Ring, came through in the clutch. Biting the Ring off Frodo’s finger Gollum, finally in possession of his “precious,” falls to his doom, assisting Frodo in the completion of his quest.
One day we will look at our fallen human nature the same way. We will see that it played a significant role in our salvation.

After trick or treating, my kids always set aside me and Ashanti’s favorite candy. Mine happens to be Almond Joys. I was stunned to discover that most people hate them! I would say “more for me,” but I can’t afford to eat more… though I want to.

After Samwise and Frodo were rescued from Mount Doom, Sam woke up to discover that he was in a nice bed and that Gandalf, whom he thought was dead, was sitting next to him. In amazement, Sam said:
“Gandalf! I thought you were dead! But then I thought I was dead myself. Is everything sad going to come untrue?”
