Loved your thoughts…I hear humbleness and openness in your writing. I also love the song As By Stevie. I am a Motown girl born and raised with the sounds. Admittedly I never knew all the lyrics to this song! Thanks for sending!
When I was 10, I was already taller than everyone in my class and my teacher. I was clumsy and tripped over my own feet. I often got in trouble for talking too much!🤦🏾 I lived in a very segregated southern state and could not dream of what life could be. I would tell my 10 year old self to talk with trusted adults about places I could go, things I could do, plans I could make. I don't have much that I regret but believe I could have found God sooner and had more of the good life I enjoy now. My heart is always drawn to younger adults who remind me of where and who I was at that age (older than 10). I offer a listening ear, a safe space, a prayer. I remember being at that age. I remember needing a mature, non-judgemental ear. I hope I am being that person for those that need one.

Thanks Kathy. I’m encouraged to be more of a listening ear to my kids and others I meet.
