The Lord instructed Moses, “When anyone who is bitten looks at it (the bronze snake), he will live.” It takes faith to believe God’s Word and look upward while being bitten from below.
This is the same faith we’re given, to look up to Jesus’ death on the cross for our righteousness, instead of depending upon our own actions to remedy our bitten souls.

3:16 delivered spoke to me about 30 years ago and changed my path and live forever. I was a believer but not an ‘all in’ believer. Praise be to God!

You reminded me of that hymn that goes:
“When Satan tempts me to despair,
And tells me of the guilt within
Upward I look and see him there
Who made an end to all my sin
Because the sinless savior died
My sinful soul is counted free
For God the just is satisfied
To look at him and pardon me!”
