3:16 delivered spoke to me about 30 years ago and changed my path and live forever. I was a believer but not an ‘all in’ believer. Praise be to God!

Thanks for all the insights and connections, Meshach.

The Lord instructed Moses, “When anyone who is bitten looks at it (the bronze snake), he will live.” It takes faith to believe God’s Word and look upward while being bitten from below.

This is the same faith we’re given, to look up to Jesus’ death on the cross for our righteousness, instead of depending upon our own actions to remedy our bitten souls.

You reminded me of that hymn that goes:

“When Satan tempts me to despair,

And tells me of the guilt within

Upward I look and see him there

Who made an end to all my sin

Because the sinless savior died

My sinful soul is counted free

For God the just is satisfied

To look at him and pardon me!”
